Registration For Youth Summer Program – NOW OPEN
Applications for Boys & Girls Clubs of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County's Summer Programs open Monday, April 12th.
For Simms Club Members, the summer program will begin Monday, June 21st and will end Friday, August 6th. For Elkton, Plains, and South River Clubs, the program will begin June 21st and end Friday, August 13th. The summer programs will be open from 7 AM until 5 PM, Daily.
The programs will be led by teams of Youth Development Professionals and members will spend their days engaged in High Yield Learning activities. (Learning disguised as fun!) All Members will be encouraged to participate in 5 core programs including: Smart Moves, Triple Play, Summer Brain Gain, S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math), as well as Market Economy workshops co-led by the JMU Center for Economic Education and the BGCHR Unit Directors.
Cost includes: A $15 nonrefundable fee for all new members, plus
$50/week for 3 or more days per week and $30/week for 2 days or less a week. Sibling discounts are also available to those who qualify. And, families needing scholarships are encouraged to apply.
